ATTRACTIONS and ACTIVITIES

Kingston House

Tjilbruke Monument and Lookout overlooks the caravan park entrance (plaque at base of sculpture). The Tjilbruke Dreamtime Trail begins near the kiosk and is marked by fenced spring.

Seacliff Yacht Club & Lifesavers are situated on the northern side of the park. Visitors are invited to use the bar facilities when open.

Brighton Jetty
is visible from the park and is about a 2km walk along the beach. The jetty was rebuilt in 1995/96 after a massive storm washed away most of the structure in mid 1994.

Main Shopping Centres
are Westfield on Sturt Road at Marion, one of the largest shopping complexes in Adelaide, and Colonnades on Beach Road, Christies Beach. No need to drive – catch the train from Marino and get off at the Noarlunga Centre.

Adelaide City is about 17kms away. By road travel north along Brighton Road to Glenelg and then turn right into Anzac Highway, or it takes about half an hour by train. Why do so many visitors fall in love with Adelaide? Could it be the many fine examples of grand architecture, the stately old churches, or could it be the "Adelaide Festival" or "Adelaide Fringe"? Maybe it is the Casino that puts its European counterparts to shame for sheer elegance and atmosphere. Or is it a combination of them all?

Southern Wine District The wine district of McLaren Vale is situated about 20 minutes drive south of the park. To get there, travel up Brighton Road and Ocean Boulevard. At the top of the hill turn left at the traffic lights (Majors Road). Turn right into Main South Road and drive south for about 15 minutes until you reach Old Noarlunga. Watch for the Victor Harbor turn-off to the left which you take. The turn-off to Mclaren Vale is well signposted. Although not as well known as South Australia's Barossa Valley, the 46 wineries of the Mclaren Vale Wine Region produce an equal product.

Other places of interest in the are are the
Olive Grove, Almond Train, Opal Factory, World Thru Dolls and Protea World.

Maslin Beach, Australia's first legal unclad beach.

McLaren Flat, Outback Camel Train.

Old Noarlunga, Historic Town and Onkaparinga Gorge Recreation park.

Port Noarlunga, Aquatic reserve and heritage walks.
